Quotable Quote to Chew On...
"I believe that the doors God has opened for me and the lessons He has taught me through politics are only preparing me to be the wife and mother He wants me to be. Going from campaign manager to home manager sounds great to me. Being a wife and mother is a higher calling than politics." - Brittany Lewin, age 18 (from DO HARD THINGS)
Recipe of the Week
Easy Pie Crust
3 cups all purpose flour
1 cup shortening
1/2 cup cool water
Combine flour and shortening until it resembles small pellets. Do not overwork! Add water, and combine. Again, do not overwork.
Divide into two parts. Roll out on lightly floured board.
Serve it with love!

quotable quote to 'stew' over while you're cookin' (:
"As a culture, present-day Christianity has redefined spiritual maturity. The reformers knew we were saved to glorify God. We moderns live to be blessed. The mature among us are now thought to be the successful, the happy, the effective people on top of things and doing well. ...We're more attracted to sermons, books, and conferences that reveal the secrets to fulfillment... than to spiritual direction that leads us through affliction into the presence of the Father." -Larry Crab, THE PRESSURE'S OFF
